I've never actually seen or ridden this bike but I've read about it for years and know and met most of the builders so I know you got a great bike there .

I had the same issue this year on my E1. I used red-kote tank liner to seal the riveted fastener. After disassembly I used a chopstick to apply drops of the liner to the fastener. You can expand your search ..... the same fender was used on 83/84 gpz1100s and 83 through 85 gpz 750 NA bikes ( carbureted)
