Re: 9s on a budget.
Hi all About time I added. Ive had some real issues with the bike misfiring above 4000 Rpm, Symptoms had me looking at spark, so new plugs, changed coils, checked voltage at coils, even ran a power supply direct from the battery, but same issue, bike rides linear until boost develops and then stops...

Re: 9s on a budget.
Hi Lorcan, Yep, that I understand, but I'm not interfering with the wastegate signal at all. I'm thinking of relieving boost pressure between the Intercooler and throttle bodies, where my Bov used to reside.Launch at 10 psi and progressively increase boost with a timer and solenoid valve. I see some...

Re: 9s on a budget.
Hello to all, Ok it's that time of year again. Drag strip opens next month. Got a question for the turbo guru's. I'm happy with the spring in my Wastegate, gives me a nice controlled max 23 psi. Not keen to install a softer spring and use a reference bleed off device, they are just shit, had no succ...

Re: Fcked something up.
Interesting.
Maybe do a quick compression test to prove timing is indeed correct?
Then onto spark,
Id forget the fuel system for now, syringe a bit of fuel down the spark plug holes, and see if she'll fire.
But them Im a rough bugger.
Good luck.

Re: 9s on a budget.
Fun day but wheelstands got a little out of hand and I decided to pack it in. First run 10.1 today, then progressively turned to shit, 5 runs in total. Strapping the front end down caused the front wheel to slam into the track pretty hard, Happy with the power, but Ive got to rethink the ZZR swinga...

Re: 9s on a budget.
Charley. Mate, that's my thoughts exactly. It doesn't make sense, but will flow test both main and reserve when I get home, See how long to fill a litre container etc. Not complaining seems to have solved the problem. heading back to the strip now, will update. Oh time posted above while running on ...

Re: 9s on a budget.
OK, drags on again so here we go. Checked for boost leaks and found some more, Tightened up a silicon joiner and watched my boost gauge climb by 2 psi, that's with only 10psi going in at the turbo. Found leaks where the rubber intakes attach to the head, Ive ported the intakes there's not a lot left...

Re: WTB Clutch springs
Hey Riturbo.
Mighty kind of you.
Ill wait for some stiffer ones, but thanks anyway.
I can have them made for $25 per spring to any stifness which maybe the best approach.
Cheers Bud.

Re: Still Issues
While we on the spark plug route,
I've found issues on bikes where I start the bike in total darkness to find the big blue spark jumping where is shouldn't.
Black tape across all the light sources, and rev the shit out of it.
Just thinking outside the box.
Cheers JB
