Frame strength

Hey guys,

The 750 turbo comes from an era were engines technology was far ahead of frame technology.

Anyone here did some work in strengthening the frames. Is there some weakness that have been identified and worth working on ? Or Is there a thread on this matter here on the website?

Thanks

Re: Twin rebuilt with a twiste

Ok! It's started.
I've installed the SRAD 750 swingarm. I'm happy with it. It's nice and sturdy. No plays anywhere. I will be using a 17 inch zx7r rear wheel. 5.5" rim with a 180 x55 tire. At this point I made bushings and eyeballed the wheel about centered with the frame. I will do final centering ...

Re: Twin rebuilt with a twiste

I know about the clearance specs from manufacturer are not good. I've read that on this forum somewhere. I will make sure I have .0025 to .003" of clearance.

Good advise about checking the weight of the pistons.

Thanks mate. :beer

Re: Twin rebuilt with a twiste

Thanks for the reply.

I know that proper fueling is the key.
The last thing I want is to melt those pistons.

I will go easy on the dyno.

Do you think I should consider installing a high pressure fuel pump with adjustable pressure regulator. I'm an advocate of keeping things simple for ...

Hey Doug,
Thanks for the pics.

It looks fine to me. I will probably do the same. I will figure out the "top-hat" spacer.

Re: How much boost

Thanks for the info. I'm starting to have a plan now.

I was thinking of using race mode with adjustable resistance potentiometer to fine tune fuel mixture. Is this a proper way or should I rely on TPS adjustment only? Maybe I should plan installing an oxygen sensor.

Re: How much boost

Charlie,
Isn't there a detonation issue when pushing over 16psi on pump gaz?

I will be using an HPU refurbished turbo. Honestly I don't know if it's got a billet upgrade (when I get it off the bike I will send you pictures).
I'm currently thinking about sending you my second turbo unit for a ...

How much boost

Hey guys,

I would like to know if it's safe to run 12-15psi of boost on a daily basis on a 810cc kit.

Thanks

Zx11/ZZR11

What is the best/ safest way to swap those.

Should I press and swap the stems?

Thanks

Hey Lorcan!

Would you mind sharing this info again. All the links are outdated. I would be useful to me since I'm about to do the swap.

Thanks
