Sorted now Jezz,
Thanks for the good advice.
Can you remember the oil level? I presume it is measured on compressed forks with the springs removed.
thanks in advance!

Hi JedZedexE1,
Following on from My post which I placed in the wrong section, it appears you used a bolt to undo the piston from the outer fork tubes. Do you remember the size of the hex head? I've been trying to get a tapered broom handle ...

Re: Clutch Issues
Cheers lads, I though I may need to raise the back wheel to get enough tilt, but what will I gain? The oil is fresh so I will just drain and reuse. Not really an issue when it comes down to it. Not sure what the issue is, it just slips when being trashed. What do you all use now, standard or ...

Clutch Issues
Hi Lads,
It's been a while, been busy with work and other bikes.
Quick question, following up on a bit of clutch slip, if I put the bike on the side stand, can I remove the clutch cover without draining the oil?
Cheers

Re: Track day
Thanks for the reply Young blood.
I was afraid I was at risk of trashing the engine( what ever about the bike).
I’m really showing my ignorance here, but how do you activate race mode?

Track day
Hi lads,
I’m getting into classic racing. There are some track days coming up in the spring and as the race bike is a H***a ( that is pretty much the only bike that is readily available here and qualifies) I want to get one of the kawkers on the track a few times at least. I currently have a Gpz1170 ...

Re: Slipping Clutch
one thing I did on mine was lube the cable it made a great difference, however if you choose to remove clutch cover to check plates now is the time to check the clutch drum for the dreaded backlash & get that sorted, drop the sump if its bad to clean out the crap & update the oiling system with ...

Slipping Clutch
I serviced the bike a few months ago and had an issue with the rotor/stator which I sorted out just as the weather changed so didn't get to ride it much. With the recent dry spill here I had the bike out for a few short spins. When accelerating hard I noticed that the clutch slips at high revs. I ...

Re: Not charging.
Just an update, I got a damaged rotor that I managed to repair very easily from Z power.
Which I lapped in and then torqued on, so hopefully it will stay put!
I got the stator back from westcountry rewinds. It looks to be a very tidy job. All in place and Bike charging nicely now.
