Re: zr7 oil pump, PRV and unitrack linkage sleeve wanted

Thanks for all the replies guys (maybe not so the wa*ker image LOL!)

Sure, I would never contemplate refurbishing a knackered hardened sleeve, just thought I'd see if anyone in the UK has a serviceable sleeve before contemplating an import from Japan etc.

Regards to you all

zr7 oil pump, PRV and unitrack linkage sleeve wanted

Hi guys, A breaker has just sold the pump I was helping him determine the origin of as he didn't know. When he found out it was zr7 he sold it to someone else - that sucks as he didn't know it was zr7 yet stated it was initially so wouild have sold it to me under false pretences. No wonder breakers ...

Crank shell identification

Hi again guys, I noticed stampings on my existing crank shells such as D3L, D2L, D4A and D4C. I can see no colours but have worked out what part numbers I need e.g. 92028-1100 etc but am curious about the D3L etc. stampings. Does anyone know if these cross reference to the full part numbers please? ...

Re: zr7 oil pump - which model year?

Thanks for great replies guys. I've read these posts before but i was talking to a very reputable breaker i know and he wanted to know the bike year so he could target the motor.

zr7 oil pump - which model year?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to do this upgrade but does anyone know if the oil pump & PRV changed during the life of the model please?

It started in 1999 I believe and survived in various guises up until at least quite recently.

Cheers

Sump pan gasket

Hi guys,

It seems these aren't available in the UK, and I don't fancy the postage from the states etc so I was wondering if anyone knew the correct spec material so I can make one?

I am looking to send a sample to a gasket material supplier but thought I'd ask here first

Cheers

Re: Fuel pump filtet

Thanks Turboguy, I wondered if there was a filter actually inside the pump in some way shape or form. Are the original fuel pumps reasonably reliable too? Mine whirred for a few secs each time after being switched on before the strip down and there was pressure in the system when I stripped it. Rega...

Fuel pump filtet

Hi guys, I have been reading up on fuel pumps etc in advance of deciding whether to use my original pump and pressure regulator and i noticed a thread where it mentioned 'fuel pump filter'. Can i ask whether the pump should have a built in filter please? Also i still have the original pressure regul...
