Re: I'm upset 3! But not as much as turbostew.
On the dragbike, buddy at the bike shop showed me a trick of using a small smear of silicone on the master link clip. Keeps link in place(have never lost one) and also makes it easy to pick out the master link on the chain if you use like a blue or orange silicone..

Clutch rubbers
Hi everyone,
Finally made it to the track Wednesday night, made a few passes and best of 12.74 at 108.. Clutch was dragging and it spun in 2nd and 3rd. The old NA engine used to go 12.80@103 or so so already ahead of that and still trying to learn to launch it off the line correctly with the 2 step ...

Re: Storm update
Congrats Lorc, That thing is a rocket, will be wicked when dialed in.. I'd need some Depends to make passes on that... Think I will stick with my mid 10's..

Re: First real ride
Yes the short exhaust pipes are functional.. Turbo's don't like restriction, I picked up 9 hp going to a short dump pipe over the stock header.. Not sure if you need to tune for the pipe only, I would say likely you would need to do some tuning. My bike is strickly 1/4 Mile, no street duty so its in ...

Re: Air/fuel wide band gauge
I have both a/f ratio and Boost gauge on my dragbike.. Not that im gonna be looking at it all the time but its there just in case. The a/f gauge is an AEM one that has 2 outputs for data logging. The boost gauge is an Autometer electronic one with a button to recall the highest boost reading.. Pic ...

Re: Made it to dyno
Ya no worries. We got it all tuned up nice, your map made a good starting point, a lot easier than starting with all zeros. Its amazing how much difference 1% makes with the 370 injectors.. Just ordered new slicks today, just waiting for summer to hurry up..

Made it to dyno
Finally got the bike all wired up and working well. Put it up on the dyno yesterday, started making a few pulls and throttle percent wouldnt go too 100%. It crept up really slow, best I ever saw was 83% so I figured maybe the 30yr old boost sensor isnt working so well anymore. So I connected the ...

Re: dfi control unit injection control box interchangeabilit
If that was directed at me Lorc, idle was around 13:1, then from 1500-4000 rpm it went to 11:1. Then from 4000-6500 it went to 15.5:1, after that it was crazy rich around 9.5:1. The engine had a tough time pulling through the super rich mixture, it still pulled but just didn't sound clean, sluggish ...

Re: Boost gauge
I fitted the Autometer vac/boost gauge. Its an electronic one that has a pushbutton so I can recall the max boost it made during the pass. This is on my race bike, not a streetbike. I did buy a cheaper boost gauge at first and it made it for 3 runs before it was reading way off. So make sure to ...
